We are not highly technical, just folk fascinated by cute inventions both current and past, and in awe of the advance in human engineering and technology (occasionally by our own members) that has shaped the world we live in today - and tomorrow.

As one would expect the topics are far-ranging from Aviation history in NZ to Quantum Dot QLED TV’s and Zebra-painted cows. In-between there has been

• George Stevensons ‘Rocket’ train,

• the colossal engineering building London’s sewers in the 1850’s,

• an invited talk from Icehouse Ventures in Auckland on funding NZ business start-ups,

• and an away visit to Buckley Systems in Mt Wellington to see the manufacture of world-class electromagnets.
