We are interested in Medicine, its science, research and history. Some of us had careers in medicine, some in careers adjacent to medicine and some just interested in the subject. All are hoping to learn more.

Each meeting, one of the group gives a presentation on a subject dear to their hearts. Subjects covered recently include: personal medical incidents and experiences; advice on the best ways to stay healthy as we age; the development of ultrasound equipment and how it is used; research about brain injuries; the medicinal and therapeutic use of mineral spas; Vesalius’ book on human anatomy published in about 1560. Members are then invited to contribute topics of medical news or new research. All are invited to take part in the discussions that form a lively part of each meeting.
